Hi there.

I'm new to Draytek routers and DIA leased line and whilst I've connected dozens of DSL routers, I've never done a DIA setup before.

It's a BT based DIA product.

All I've been given is an IP address, a Subnet mask, a gateway address and a couple of DNS ip addresses. Can I assume the connection will be via "static IP" and not PPPoE or anything like that?

With DIA is there actually any need for a router at all if there's only one machine that needs a connection? If not, how would I go about setting the router up?
