2830VN firmware reports it as a 2830V was created by bluetba1
I have just purchased a 2830VN, I know this because it says on the front, but when I look at the firmware I get no wireless configuration, and at the top it says Vigor2830V, i did do a firmware update but that hasn't solved it, what am I missing?

yes I do have the three aerials on the back, But also very interestingly I have an option for VPN trunking which I didn't think was on this model?

My System Status

Model Name : Vigor2830V
Firmware Version : 3.3.7.1_232201
Build Date/Time : May 4 2012 14:55:01

Chances are a) the internal wireless module is loose from its socket or b) the internal wireless module is faulty.

Thanks for the replay, and the delay of mine.

Do you think that could cause it to detect the router as being a different model? also what about the addition of VPN Trunking?

Thanks again.

Could be. Have you tried reflashing it with the latest firmware from the UK downloads section. Is yours a single or dual band version. You can check by clicking http://www.draytek.co.uk/support/kb/kb_vigor_2830_dual_band.html
