Im having an issue with using a Draytek Vigor 2850n with standard BT Adsl (ie not infinity), the issue is that when I use the Draytek as a modem I get speeds of a few megabytes which rapidly drops off to >100k after a minute or two. However taking the BT Homehub and using WAN2 ethernet on the Draytek (so using it only as a router) I get a solid 7.5 - 8mb down at all times of day.

I've taken a second router to this house but have the same problem with both, I've copied all the settings from the BT Home Hub across but nothing seems to make a difference. Does anyone have any ideas or the full list of settings for BT Adsl??

Any help would be much appreciated.

coudl be a fault on the Bulit in ADSL interface, what firmware is it on and what ADSL code are you using?

I updated one of them to the latest firmware from the Draytek site.

What do you mean by ADSL code? Modulation?

The firmwares will have a different code on the end of them
eg 3.3.6.1_232201 (the 232201 is the modem code)
You can get alternaties for lesser quality lines i.e 3.3.6.1_211801

As the V2850 is desgined for VDSL then I am not sure if there is an alternative, you would have to check
