2820n Slow Infinity Upload compared to HH3 was created by gizard75
Hi all,
I have just had BT Infinity installed and with HH3 and BT VDSL Modem I get the following:
Download:74.73 Mbps
Upload: 17.57 Mbps
however when using the WAN2 port with BT VDSL modem on the 2820n (3.3.7.3_232201)
Download 71.51 Mbps
Upload 8.59 Mbps
This is fairly consistent after serveral reboots (obviously the dowload speed fluctuates a little but the upload stays at about half)
Any ideas why this should be?
cheers
G.

turn off quality of service or increase the QoS speed on WAN2 so it's got the proper upload

Three more advise
Qos try turm off as mentioned and if any option giving priority to voip turn it off
Check settings at DoS
If this not help try the STD (standard)modem code

Hmm,
Thanks all, disabeling the QOS / UDP seems to have made the speed results vary - although I obviously need to have a deeper investigation - as headline figures are not neccisarily the whole story depending on usage requirements!
cheers

There is a case the firewall not build for over 50mb but not sure if this has been upgraded...so if you getting download around 70mb is still good

My 2820n was worse than yours- I only got around 50mb throughput. That's the reason I bought the 2920n- it has a firewall throughput of around 150mb and gave the full speed that I achieved with the HH3. The BT gear is obviously capable of good speeds- but the Drayteks are so much more flexible, but with certain limitations.
