ADSL Sync speed very slow on 2820n was created by fcpk
Hi all,
This is probably a recurring issue, but I'm basically facing slow sync issues on my 2820n compared to my orange livebox.
The livebox will typically sync around 3200k/1000k and the 2820n around 2400k/500k.
I have tried both the standard 3.3.7.3 and the suggested 3.3.7.2 211801 but no difference.
I have also tried in GDMT and ADSL2 modulations, without much difference.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Go and register at the link below
http://www.draytek.com/user/SupportDownloadsDetail.php?action=Load&MID=12&ID=678
Download all the firmwares (ONLY the annex A & NOT the annex B ones) but i suggest first to try Annex A for modem code 2471201
Using GDMT will only help you if the line has noise or disconnections i believe
IMPORTANT TIP:
Reboot at night/early morning (this time is good) where it gives higher synchronizing
Good luck
EDIT
NOTE using the one i suggested if will not get higher speed ( i believe should go around 3000) ... may because you have rebooted several times(so line see it as fault).
If this is the case leave it 1-2 days get solid possible connection and reboot night /early morning with the same suggested firmware

Interestingly, this is what I found out in the term stats:
DS Actual Rate : 2432000 bps US Actual Rate : 509268 bps
DS Attainable Rate : 2884000 bps US Attainable Rate : 1080000 bps

Some they say Attainable Rate is theoretical & with depending length of line should synchronise with that speed is quoting
It also may means (but not sure 100%) that at first connection with dsalm got this speed but lower when got full synchronize
I have seen some times mine have lower attainable rate but higher syncr
Are all the firmwares you tried not going more than 2400kbps in real speed?even the one i mentioned?
