I wonder if someone can help me.

I have got out an old Draytek 2800VG which I want to use just on a 3G dongle. It is running the latest firmware 2.8.2. I am using a huawei E160G dongle on t-mobile, this is one of the dongles as listed working with this firmware.

In the Internet Access >> 3G USB Modem Backup page I have correctly filled out the APN (general.t-mobile.uk) and the default modem dial string. The 3G usb modem is set to 'always on). But when you go to the online status page, under 3g usb modem it says 'Message [ PPP Shutdown ]' I have clicked on dial PPP but this has had no effect?

Any ideas what the issue might be?

use the 2.8.2.1 beta, the 2.8.2 firmware doesn't have very good 3G support. check on the Online Status page whether it's showing an icon of a mobile phone which indicates it's generally detected. If it also shows signal % then it should connect.
