Multi-Draytek Router Setup Questions was created by dave32
We are soon to have a leased line installed of which we will have 32 Public IP Addresses.

Terminating in the comms room to a Draytek 2830 Router (BT will assign WAN IP) and 32 Public IP's sit on Lan of the 2830.

in the office we have a Draytek 3200 Router which i want to assign 1 of the public IP's to the WAN interface and another on the Lan (Routed LANs)

the idea of this is we can then make use of the NAT for the PC's and allocate servers with public IP's

to make it even harder, we need to assign another company in the building with 1 public IP from the Draytek 2830 in the comms room.

Below is the required setup

Draytek 2830 Lan 1 connects to Draytek 3200 in Office block 1
Draytek 2830 Lan 2 connects to Firewall in Office block 2

what would be the best way of setting this up, would i need to split the subnets up in to smaller segments?

Let’s assume we have been allocated a public subnet of 77.96.217.160 / 27 (30 Usable IP Addresses
Netmask: 255.255.255.224
Draytek 2830 (Main Router, VLan 1 to 4 enabled.
Vlan 1 – Routed connection (2 usable IPs)
Router 1 – Vlan 1 IP: 77.96.217.189 – Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.252
Router 2 – Wan 1 IP: 77.96.217.190 Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.252
Now I want 8 IPs for the Lan of Router 2
Router 2 – Lan 1 – IP: 77.96.217.166 – Subnet Mask 255.255.255.248
Server 1 - 77.96.217.161 Subnet Mask 255.255.255.248
Server 1 - 77.96.217.162 Subnet Mask 255.255.255.248
Server 1 - 77.96.217.163 Subnet Mask 255.255.255.248
Server 1 - 77.96.217.164 Subnet Mask 255.255.255.248
Server 1 - 77.96.217.165 Subnet Mask 255.255.255.248

Now I believe I will need to add a static route on the first router for 77.96.217.160 / 29 - 255.255.255.248 to the WAN IP address of 77.96.217.190 Router 2

Would the above work?
