I've got this logged with Draytek UK but thought I'd share my problem with you all. We have a Vigor 3900 at a customer that has 4 x Fibre Broadband connected on the Ethernet WAN ports. 3 x Eclipse and 1 x ClaraNet. Each WAN does a different job - WAN1 is for Remote Desktop, WAN2 Internet and email at the site where the 3900 is. WAN3 and WAN4 do VPN - mostly WAN4 at this time.

There are 16 sites which VPN into the 3900 over IPSec. They are a mixture of 2820n and 2830n Routers. Every few days (between 3 and 7) the 3900 locks up and stops accepting HTTP management. Telnet into the 3900 also stops, and the only remedy is to power off/on. Which works for a few days until it happens again. Stangely the WANs stay up, but VPN drops (Internet, remote Desktop , etc. still works).

All equipment is on UPS battery (APC). I don't think it's power. It seems to be something on the VPN side which 'trips out' the Router. We've swapped out for anew Router under RMA but it's still not happy.

If I get a remedy with Draytek I shall let you all know, but if anyone has experienced this I would be grateful for a pointer to the issue. FW is 1.0.7 build 1615.

Any luck yet?

I have a 3900 as well, also protected by UPS, 3 x WAN's

The 3900 is so new that there is a few bugs, new type of Draytek OS etc i've got the latest beta running
I currently don't use or have setup any VPN as of yet.

My 3900 lock's up every 7-12 days ( DHCP fails ) and have to reboot

I have a very similar issue, also logged with support and currently collecting logs via console port.

3900 running 1.0.6 with 4 x BT infinity lines and 39 x VPN's, average runtime is a week before the unit hangs and then either reboots itself or needs a power cycle.
Second unit, also 3900 with 1.0.6, runs 1 x Ethernet circuit and 16 x VPN's has similar issues.
Both units are hardware version 1 and on UPS.

Remote sites are running mixture of 2820/30's and netgear DGFV338's (currently being replaced).

Did support supply 1.0.7 firmware?

I got firmware 1.0.7beta , seems better so far

Some issues still remain like iTunes sonetimes can't find iTunes Store.
Xbox 360 can't see the Internet so sky on the Xbox doesn't work
Some devices don't get an IP address

Thinking of removing 3900 for now and putting in 2820 till the 3900 is more reliable

Yeah, we replaced our 3300v with a 3900 and must have spent over £50 on the premium support line trying to sort issues that shouldn't even require RTFM never mind premium rate support. The 3900 (on beta F/W) just seems very flakey and I think we'll put the 3300 back in till it's a more mature product.

We have a 3900 installed with 2x virgin media superhubs and 2x vigor120's on adsl2, had similar issues with it just stopping and firmware 107 beta fixed alot of the problems but things like ACS now dont work properly and it still seems a bit sensitive to changes. Draytek have a very good product if they can just sort the firmware problems out that shouldnt be there on this style product
