The Gmail smtp server requires SSL/TLS. Does the Draytek support this? I've been trying to set up the new mail alert on WAN disconnection but having no luck getting a test email to send via the mail alert setup (the object setting screen cannot send test emails so I used mail alert).

If not, are there any free SMTP servers that don't require SSL?

The big problem with using your ISP's mail alert is that when you have a failover WAN with another ISP the mail won't get sent out as it's via IP address authentication.

Edit: GMX is a good alternative, would be nice to have SSL support in a new firmware. And also the ability to resolve a host name rather than direct IP.
