Hi,
I have bt Fibre installed yesterday and running a few speed tests i get 74mbps down and 17mbps up. Well please, especially as I use to only get a 2meg line before.
Well today I decided to put on my trusty old 2820n but after getting it connected my speeds drops to 60mbps down and only 8 up.
Why the huge difference?
I did just try upgrading the firmware but this also didnt make a difference.

Any ideas?

Regards,

Dave.

Try disable QoS & disable or set higher DoS

Also updating firmware see this post because with latest firmware needs special treatment

IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not upgrade directly from 3.3.5 (and earlier) to 3.3.7.3.
Due to differences in the Web UI and functionality the router MUST first be
upgraded to 3.3.5.2 prior to upgrading to 3.3.7.3.

Upgrade your router to Version 3.3.5.2 first, and afterward upgrade the router
to Version 3.3.7.3.
