QoS on VigorSwitches was created by oliverm
Hi

Does anyone know of a guide on how to configure QoS on vigorswitches? We have 5 26 port POE ones here running our phones. All the phones are on a 10.1.39.x subnet with the PCs being on a 10.1.38.x subnet. I need to set up traffic prioritisation and a couple of trunk ports (for the firewall and voip server).

All the guides appear to be for the routers not the switches.

Thanks

Olly

are you talking about trunk ports that link the switch's or that carry VLAN tags?

Erm, both I suppose. Im aware that "trunk" has different meanings.

basically we have many switches. Port 1 of Switch 1 is the voip server, port 2 is the firewall. All the other ports have a phone attached with a PC attached to the phone. The phone has (will have) a VLAN setting of 10 (though could be any number) and we want to prioritise traffic for that vlan over all other traffic and configure that to apply to all switches. Port 1 and 2 of switch 1 will also need access data from all vlans.

Does that help?

Though I should say, I'm not after help as such (though any help would be great) but if you know of any good guides of doing this in draytek switches, that would be great.
