Hiya people...

I've got a 2850n router setup in my office and id like to block certain PC (IP Addresses) from being able to browse certain keywords or websites. I've been pulling my hair out trying to make this work properly. I contacted Draytek support who gave me a link to a PDF which wasn't very helpful at all.

I want to prevent certain PC/IP ADDRESSES from being able to browse certain websites/keywords without having to subscribe to the WCF / Commtouch service.

I'd like to be able to do it using IP Groups and Keyword Groups..

Also worth noting is that my Firewall >> Filter Setup Default Data Filter ie Filter Set 2 is already fully populated with other rules.

Does anyone have any clear detailed instructions that will help me achieve what I'm trying to do?

Create the IP group (source)

Create the URL filter Profile (CSM URL filter)

Go to Firewall filter and under Default Data Filter select the next available slot (if it default it will be 2 under the Xnetbios rules)

In the source use the IP group you created above

Leave the action as PASS (when you apply the URL Profile only that will be blocked)

At the bottom select the URL Profile you created earlier (URL Content Filter.)

OK

That should do it - If you syslog it then the Blocks will appear in the Firewall filter
