Newbie to this forum and not firmly grounded in networking etc., but I would like to add a splash screen to guests logging into our free wi-fi.

I have a Vigor 2850n, with a hidden segmented business WLAN and an open public WLAN. The business LAN is set up to always retain the bandwidth if needed, but release it if not. It is currently 'scheduled' for different times of the week,(which work fine), but I would like to change that to password protected - with a splash screen (preferably with a few graphics) welcoming the guests.

Is this possible on-board the router - or could I setup some re-direction to a pc (I could use an old laptop running linux) to generate the splash?
I'm not interested in logging everyone who logs in as a guest, but I would like to rotate passwords regularly to stop external access.

Do please ask if I haven't made my request clear.

You need to configure the User Profile and edit the General SetUP Under User configuration.
In the User profile there is a Tick Box that says LANDING PAGE which will divert once the login is successful
You can customise the Landing page in HTML I think
