Hello there!

I am having an issue with connecting up my 2820vn to O2 broadband in Belfast. I am on "Works" package with dynamic IP. ISP supplied plastic-fantastic O2 box V works OK.

I have tried recommended configuration:

1) vci=101 and vpi=0.
2) ADSL bridging should enabled (as per RFC 1483).
3) When configuring the WAN (DSL interface), you would get an option asking whether your ISP authenticates with user/pass or not - you have to choose NO in there, as we require no username and/or password for access to our network.
4) Connection type is IPoEoATM.
5) Multiplexing is LLC-based. If you are able to choose the LLC type it should be set to SNAP.

and also experimented with:

Generic Settings for Most ADSL2+ compatible routers.

Type / Protocol: ETHoA (Ethernet over ATM, also known as MPoA, IPoATM, or RFC 1483) (May be called RFC 2684 on newer routers)
(...)
All Dynamic IP Users (regardless of or or new network) and Static IP users on the old network:
VPI = 0
VCI = 101
Obtain IP using DHCP unless single static on old network.

Encapsulation: LLC-based (If presented with a choice, Bridged IP rather than Routed IP)
Modulation: G.992.5 Annex A (or for Upload+, G.992.5 Annex M)
Primary DNS server: 87.194.255.154 (or OpenDNS: 208.67.222.222, or GoogleDNS: 8.8.8.8)
Secondary DNS server: 87.194.255.155 (or OpenDNS: 208.67.220.220, or GoogleDNS: 8.8.4.4)

but furthest I get is DSL up (using Modulation: G.992.5 Annex A) but no DHCP offer or auth (?).

I have cloned original router's MAC.
There is nothing in username/password fields.
I am set to DHCP mode.

I would be glad for any hint :Z
