Bit of an odd issue, with wan2 port.

Model Name : Vigor2830Vn
Firmware Version : 3.6.4_sb_232201

Using a microwave internet link via wan2, the upload speed seems very low, as it's supposed to be 90meg up and down.

Eg... wan2 speed test: download: 71,023... upload 28,289.

If I connect to the microwave link via a laptop (instead of using the Vigor) I get: 53,022 meg upload.

I also replace the Vigor with a ddwrt router... and this gave...

72,479 down and 53,032 up.

I've tried with Qos off, but it's slower upload then 53 meg.

The fastest upload speed seems to be with settings...

Class 1: 1%
Class 2: 1%
Class 3: 1%
Others: 97%
Enable UDP Bandwidth Control: enabled
Outbound TCP ACK Prioritize: enabled
Limited_bandwidth Ratio: 25%

I've turned off the firewall...

Physical Type: Auto Negotiation

Any know issues with Wan2 on this firmware or any other things to try?

Cheers,

Steve

First of all ... At WAN >> General Setup disable wan 1 ...is important if not using it & report back

If the first will not work ... try the following for testing purposes
Disable QoS & turn off priority for VOIP
Turn off DoS
At physical type give a go with half & full duplex if will make difference

wan1/wan3 already disabled.. sorry should have said.

Disable QoS & turn off priority for VOIP
Turn off DoS

Done all those... a few variations in download/upload speed... but no major differences.

What I have found, is that if I disable "call filter" and "data filter" I get an extra 10 mb upload... ??
