2960 - DDNS setting not documented was created by jamessp1
I'm using a 2960, dual WAN connections to ISPs providing DHCP supplied IP addresses.

Does anyone know what the setting on the DDNS page called IP Source mean? There are 2 options in the drop down:

  • My WAN IP

  • My INternet IP

I'm using 1.0.6.2 firmware and UG-Vigor2960-V1.0.pdf documentation.

Support kindly provided an answer:

The difference between WAN IP and Internet IP is that if the router is set up behind another NAT router and receives an internal address as its WAN IP, the WAN IP setting would give the local address that the router gets as its WAN IP.

The Internet IP setting would determine the public IP address to provide that to the DDNS provider.
