Hi,

I'm interested in purchasing a discounted DrayTek Vigor 2750n to replace both my BT Openreach Fibre modem and Sky SR101 wireless router, but i need to know that i'll do this?

Has anyone achieved this and if so how please?

Thanks in advance.

I don't think the 2750 does any kind of MER authentification . Definitely works on BT Infinity service because I used it myself, but Sky use a different authentification method.

The Draytek 2760 is supposed to work on Sky, but remember you would also need to extract your username and password from your existing Sky Router.

I know the thread is little old but now but for any one in future will read ... I would say to contact the UK agents about the 2750 (if you don't have the model yet try the link below) and also can ask for the 2760 or the new arrived 2860
info@dreytek.co.uk
and ask if they have a beta for sky by now for any of the mentioned models, they are helping

About the 2760 (got this model but using it with adsl - not Sky) has DHCP Options: 1,3,6,51,53,54,58,59,60,61,66,125 but are from the Lan side ... so when i contact support for a small issue and asked if will work with Sky (the 2760) they replied that dhcp options are from the lan side and may not work with sky at the moment

However the good about the 2760 it seems working very good with infinity according to first review i catch

The 2750n is openwrt based - if you access it via telnet it should definitely be possible to get it to do DHCP option 61 but I don't know what process it uses for it. I haven't used one for a while now so I can't check.
Once you can set DHCP option 61 on the WAN interface (which is the sky username and password in a specific format) and specify VLAN tag 101 then it should work.
