Hello,

I've got a Vigor 2850Vn router connected via Universal Repeater mode to a AP-800 wireless access point.

When I click on the Wireless LAN >> WDS Settings >> Link Status button I see "Down: No traffic from this link." and the MAC address of the AP-800.

Should this be the case??

I've been trying to get the AP-800 just to extend the wireless signal of the 2850Vn so my mobile phone stays connected as it moves around the building. However it doesn't. I've created a SSID on both devices with the same name. The phone connects to the device with the strongest signal. If I move out of range of the 1st device the connection drops and it will reconnect to the other signal. Not ideal when using VoIP or Skype!

Any ideas on how to set up the AP-800 just to repeat the signal, nothing else. I don't want a separate SSID or wireless network to connect to.

Many thanks

I think I've found an answer to my second question, see...

Roaming is not supported, gutted :(

Off to see if Cisco can help.
