I am using a 2850 but I think the setting is the same also for the 2820 which I will also want to block.

I want to block users from entering a web site IP - I want to force then through OpenDNS DNS lookup.

I had this working on a 2910 but whatever I try on the 2850, it does not block.

The setting is at CSM > URL Content ..

I have set up the first entry by ticking 'Enable URL Access Control' and 'Prevent web access from IP address' but it does not block. I have tried various other permutation and settings on that page but still no blocking. Using v 3.6.3

Once you've set up a CSM rule, apply that from Firewall - General Setup - Default Rule, otherwise it's not being applied.

On the 2910, it was a fixed thing where once you set up a URL filter, that blocked for everyone, with the later routers, you can control which IPs etc you want to apply the URL filter to.
