Best modem code for 120 with sky broadband?

Hi there, I did a quick search for this before posting. I just got a vigor 120 to use the pppoe-pppoa bridge feature with my router and sky broadband. I'm around 3km from the exchange and get 8mb up, 792 kb down on the fast channel, and I think it's been capped at that by sky for a long time. (I could never reliably get more than that with other modems so I'm happy) but I was wondering which modem code firmware version would work best and does that depend on the brand of the dslam? (Sky use broadcom or old easynet connexant hardware).

I'd be more specific with line stats etc but I don't seem to be able to log in to the modem unless I'm plugged directly into it (any way to change that? I disabled dhcp in the modem). I remember the firmware is 3.2.6 but don't remember the modem code if it was stated.

Thanks for any advice
S

For direct connection with pc see this page "Windows XP PPPoE Setup"
http://www.draytek.co.uk/support/kb_vigor100_setup.html
When had mine direct at pc it did not connect to network because did not set it as above but it did let me change modem code

About best modem code ... is difficult to say because every line is different so you will need change few and see which one is best for your line but from my small experience with the 120 the ones 3471101,344001, 344101 should give little better speed

Thanks, I will try those codes.

I have no problem connecting to my isp, what I meant was I can't log in to the draytek configuration across my lan - only with a computer directly plugged in to to it. It would be more convenient if I could log in across my lan - is that possible?
