New to VLANs and am trying to set one up between my Vigor router and a wrt54gs Linksys.

I want to use the Linksys (that now has dd-wrt) as just a WIFI access point. I want to be able to connect to it, it is then connected to the Vigor via ethernet and for it to be able to connect to the Internet but NOT be allowed to see anyone else on the network, so I wanted to put it on its own VLAN.

I tried and successfully locked myself out of the Vigor and had to do a factory reset. Manual isn't exactly clear.

Any ideas?

Another setup I'd like is the Vigor router, the Linksys and a Zyxel GS1910-24 switch. So the Vigor is connected to the Internet and connected to the switch so everyone on the home network (this is all at home in a lab setup for testing) can access the internet and each other. I then would want the Linksys to connect to the Zyxel so that it then has internet access, but again on it's own VLAN. I assume in that setup the vlan would be setup on the switch and not the Vigor?
