scratching my head here - 2 sites with 2830 routers

I have established an IPSEC lan to lan VPN between the 2 sites

I can ping both ways but cant browse smb shares by ip address on either side

site 1 is on 192.168.1.0 and site 2 is on 192.168.2.0

initially site 2 did not have a 2830 and I could browse shares when using a remote dial-in user vpn

what am I missing ? DNS setting somewhere ? have tried with Antivirus protection off at both sites in case it was a firewall issue
