Outlook not connecting to Exchange over VPN

I have a strange problem which seems to be something quite fundamental to Draytek. I connect to Exchange over a VPN (LAN to LAN to a 2820), and frequently in the morning when I wake my PC, Outlook is unable to connect to Exchange. If I restart my router, it reconnects immediately. I assumed this was a problem with my 2820, and swapped it out for a 2830, but I am still getting the same behavior. It is obviously router related as the restart has immediate effect without me having to touch the PC, but I am at a loss as to where to look, the 2830 was set up from scratch so there is no physically carried over config, and I can't begin to think of any settings that could cause this. The VPN appears to be working OK otherwise, I can access an SQL database over it as well as browse files, and all other internet access is fine.
