setting up an ap800 with a draytek 2830vn was created by adambell1979
Hi there i am quite new to networks so bear with me if i sound wrong or completley wrong in my setup.

I set up a sonos system for a client last year and due to it being a retro fit in an old house we replaced the
old bt router and fitted a 2830vn router and it set up fine once i read the instructions properly of course,
we then wanted to fit a wifi signal on the floor at the top of the house so i purchased a couple of ap800
to go in place.
Now the house had no cat cable going to the floor at the top so we used a powerline adaptor kit to plug it in
and it seemed to work ok for a while but we have had a few issues last week with the wifi dropping on and off.
I called out to the house and the signal seemed to be ok but every 15 mins the router would make a click and then go
off and then on again could this be a fault?
I have updated the software on the units and this was done last year when i fitted them.

Also what is the best way to use an ap800 when connected to a draytek router, i always use the default option but i have noticed
the other options like bridge mode or repeater etc..
I didnt want to change this setting as i didn't want to mess things up.
