Can I use a 2800VG purely as a WAP? was created by hansfords
Hi,

ADSL has died on my old 2800VG and I have replaced it with a 2860n Plus. However, I would like to set my 2800VG up as a WAP on my home network. I can disable Internet access and DHCP, but how do I assign the 2800VG an IP address on the 192.168.1.0/24 subnet other than 192.168.1.1 or, better still, get it to request one from DHCP running on the 2860n Plus?

Thanks

never tried but i think is possible via this menu at both devices " Wireless LAN >> WDS Settings"
to change the router's default ip & turn on/off DHCP " LAN >> General Setup " >> details page >> Network Configuration & net right tab for dhcp
