Overriding DHCP gateway setting was created by rydercowan
I use a Vigor 2820n, with a DSL gateway and acting as DHCP server on my LAN. Also on the LAN is a Huawei B593 LTE router, currently providing a DC-HSDPA gateway. The DHCP server is normally set to use the DC-HSDPA gateway. The DC-HSDPA gateway is over 10 times faster than DSL, but not as stable, as well as being quite expensive if the monthly usage allowance is exceeded! I therefore use the DC-HSDPA gateway where speed is useful, and where possible set devices which don't benefit from speed on static IP to use the DSL gateway. However, I have one device which does not support static IP, and I'd like it to connect to the DSL gateway. I can see that the 2820n will allow me to fix an IP address for the device by binding it to the MAC address, but I can't see a way to direct the fixed IP address to use the DSL gateway.
Can anyone suggest how this might be achieved? I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to routers.
