2850V WAN2 Connection Type Fault was created by f0xy
Hi,

We use a 2850V router for two connections. WAN1 is ADSL and working normally. WAN2 is Ethernet 100mbps with a static IP address. We are on the latest firmware (3.6.6) and a full reset/reconfiguration has been performed.

The problem we are having is the WAN2 connection type is showing up as a 3G USB Modem in 'Online Status', as per the picture below. We are having intermittent issues with the WAN2 connection at the router (the provider do not see drops on their equipment, which is plugged into WAN2), so we think this is related.

Has anyone seen this before?

The provider of the connection to WAN2 also reported seeing a lot of MAC addresses connected to their equipment (phones, PCs on the network, etc), when surely they should only be seeing the MAC of the WAN2 port, as its the only thing connecting the two devices?

Thanks if anyone has any advice/information.
