Hi

I have found the the firewall on our 2830 is blocking outgoing PPTP connections from a PC to a remote VPN server.
If I turn the firewall off, it works fine, so definately the firewall.
I a 'dialling out' from a PC with a fixed IP address (well, DHCP reservation) that has a firewall rule to pass all outgoing traffic immediately.
I have even added specific rules inbound to allow GRE and TCP 1723, although not convinced these should be needed.

The 2830 is also used to terminate inbound PPTP connections both LAN to LAN and dial in user, these are OK

Can anyone shed any light on this for me please?
Can't really be turning off the firewall every time I need to make a VPN

have you un-ticked PPTP from the remote access server settings under VPN?
