Port forwarding and management ports was created by jbainbridge
Hello,

I'm setting up a new 2860 to replace our old 2820.

I'm finding that I can't port forward 'management ports' on the 2860. Previously on the 2820 this didn't seem to be a problem.

I have disabled 'management from the internet' so the ports are not in use externally.

Am I doing something wrong?

e.g. I'd prefer to keep the internal mgt port at 80 but need to port forward 80. This worked on the 2820 but not on the 2860?!?

Any thoughts appreciated.

So you are running a web server on :80 and want to forward external requests on :80 to this internal PC right?

If so you will be able to do this with the "Open Ports" menu under NAT

If not perhaps I misunderstood what you are trying to do

Sorry my initial post might be confusing.

Yes, we have an internal web server that I want to expose on port 80. If I do this using 'port forwarding' or 'open ports' I get a message saying there is a conflict with the management ports.

However I have disabled management from the internet so in this case port 80 is not being used externally - though I would like to continue to use it to manage 'internally'.

On the 2820 it was fine ... the 2860 won't allow it.

It's not a big deal - if I have to I'll change the http management port.

Thanks.

I get you :-)

In that case I would do like you say & change the local mangement port to 88.
I would also manage it with SSL anyway INT or EXT [best way tbh!]
