2850 resetting itself was created by playford
Hi,

Hi have a clinic over in Belfast that have issue with a 2850. I'm currently running 3.6.3_232201 firmware and on 2 occasions the router has reset itself to factory defaults. I have posed question to the staff saying someone must have reset the router but they are saying that its in an office that nobody uses.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks
Mark

No here, my 2850 works fine with firmware 3.6.6 but i remember the 3.6.3 had few issues with wifi and android phones
Once is keep resetting (for any reason) & you have to do all settings back from the begin ... it may be good idea to update the firmware to latest 3.6.6 (in the case the unit has bug due to 3.6.3 firmware) ...
3.6.6 has added more features & bug fixes.

Adding an other firmware it also makes more difficult to have resets again unless the unit is faulty its self but personal i find difficult case, so it may be due to firmware issue if any other don't keep resetting it.
You can also use the syslog http://www.draytek.co.uk/download/support/Syslog_451_Win.zip to record the events ... the support it may be able to tell you (not sure 100% on that) if the reset was by the machine or manualy

I've just checked the uk download site and the latest version on there is 3.6.4. Am I able to use the later version in the UK.

Thanks

Personal for my 2850 i am using always from the main Taiwan even when i was in UK, never had an issue apart some bugs was at time
If you worry you can wait for the new version or just download the 3.6.4 from the UK side, still don't believe it will keep resetting with an other firmware, what ever version is

By the way today there is a new 3.6.6.1 at main Taiwan with fix for open SSL valuability
