2860 adding routed subnet was created by wotsupnow
Hi,

With firmware 3.7.1 I could add a routed subnet in LAN GENERAL and then LAN6 on VLAN6 with an address from the routed subnet.
This let me have, ports 1-5 giving DHCP on a 192.168 range and port 6 giving one of the public ips ( public range /29 ).

The latest batch we bought has firmware 3.7.4
I can add the routed subnet but when I try to add an address to LAN6 it says
"Disable LAN & Enable LAN shouldn't be in the same subnet"

Any ideas ?

Pete

You are trying to give the interface the same address or network as one that's already in place.

I can set it on 3.7.1 firmware and it works, ports 1-5 give 192.168 dhcp out, port 6 is the first ip of the routed range.

With 3.7.4 it won't allow me to set it ...

Wan general, dynamic ip

routed subnet x.x.x.1/29

VLAN6 x.x.x.2/29
VLAN1 192.168.0.0 + DHCP

VLAN1 on ports 1-5 , VLAN6 on port 6

you could before the firmware upgrade - now you cant have the same network listed twice in the LAN general part

Got around it.

Set the routed subnet to something completely differant. i.e. don't use this anymore.

Set LAN6 to the routed range 1st ip, all 5 remaining ips can then connect via port 6 with the 1st ip as their default gateway.

This is now working.

Don't know what we'll do though if we get an Easynet or MDNX installation as they don't give a separate fixed ip + routed range, just the routed range with the 1st ip in the range assigned dynamically.
