Dual WAN Issue was created by richardtarlton
Hi All,

I am having issues with a dual wan/vpn setup.

Both WAN's come up fine, but I dont see how both lines can be used as they are from different ISP's, the router gives out DNS information for WAN1, so can WAN2 ever work in load balance or should both WAN's be set for say goolgle DNS?

Also I have two VPN's one from WAN1 to site 2, and one from WAN2 to site to, so both accessing the same router ( 2850N ), these work independantly but not together. VPN/WAN1 comes up by default, but VPN/WAN2 will not come up without WAN1 being turned off, again is this a DNS issue?

Any Replys would be good.

Kind Regards

Richard

for load balance check the link below

Load balance for vpn

About dns it should work the one from the isp automatic & i think once will connect to the isp line it over rides the google ones that draytek has set
If you have issues try at wan general set up>details page> & add the dns servers your prefer, & then go back to Lan > general set up & tick a small box named "force router to use dns at lan 1-4"
That should solve any dns issues (if you have any)
