2830n with Fibre was created by scuzzie2k
Hi Guys, got fiber installed and if I am hard cabled into the router I get 75mb download and about 15 upload, but on my device if I connect wireless I get on half of the download speed? I have no bandwidth control or anything else enabled, any ideas?

i have seen some one has same issue

i also thinks the 2830 may needs some driver tunning the wifi

What you can do is to try the new firmware 3.6.7.2 (SINGLE BAND) which is out today at main Taiwan & use the UK SEG modem code one

http://www.draytek.com/index.php?option=com_k2&view=item&id=2447:vigor2830n&Itemid=417&lang=en#downloads
Use the *rst* file extension, will do a clean install & then ALL manuals settings from the begin, not use back up file
(links is for single band unit Becarefull)
how to find if you have dual or single band here
http://www.draytek.co.uk/support/guides/kb-vigor-2830-dual-band
If you have the dualband (latest firmware also today 3.6.7.1) that above links are not good

 I also suggest after the update to disable wan 1 & 3 because it may stolen some CPU memory of the unit (Wan>General Setup)
Remember via wifi if you are not close to the router will not get the full benefit of speed, each meter far from the unit can get big difference ... so distance it matters wireless

you can try some combinations at wireless >advanced settings as last hope, such long preamble, channel bandwidth 20 instead of 20/40, change channel (do a scan for an empty channel at AP discovery) etc
I would say to email the support and let them know, i have right now my 2830n on but with 13mbps (adsl line) i am getting the full speed at 10 meters away, it seems is doing the issue with higher speeds (all wifi settings are at the default)

I have bit the bullet and just bought an external wifi AP gives me full speed, speaking to other people with the same modem wifi seems to half the throughput of fibre
