Login to a second computer externally was created by ukprince9
I am a server setup at home where i can login externally using remote desktop connection
i have a Vigor 2830 and the port has been opened to allow me to access the server i believe this was done via a port 3389

I would also like to log in to another computer at home directly without having to connect into the server first
Does anyone know how this can be done

Thanks

Are you on a Singe Public IP or a Range?

If on a single then you need to Use Port de-direction

for example if you RDP to RDS.domain.com it would use the default 3389

You can redirect and different port to but putting a :portnumber on the end

for example rds.domain.com:3390

On the 2830 you re-direct 3390 to 3389 pointing to the other server.

If you have a public range then just open the ports from WAN IP alias to LAN ip.

Why not play safe and use a VPN
