I have recently purchased a Vigor 2860n-plus on recommendation of a few friends. I was very impressed with it and how it handles everything on my network. However, over the last couple of days the 5Ghz wifi disappeared from my devices. I have attempted to figure out why and that is when I noticed that the dashboard is now showing my router as being a Vigor 2860n. I have updated the firmware since then to the latest version (3.7.4.3).

Has anyone come across this problem? Is it something that I have adjusted in the settings somehow?

Thanks in advance for all your help.

did you used the *rst* file extension after the firmware updates/downgrades?

I didn't originally but I have done since then to ensure that I had tried everything I could think of.

Thanks Takeo_Ischi, I have sent them a support request. Just thought I would see if anyone on here had heard of the problem before. I will post the details of their response/solution for other people when I get it.

Well it appears that the router will have to go back to be repaired as it sounds like the 5Ghz module has failed. Customer service has been amazing, quick and helpful.
