Resolving hostnames across Vlans was created by fchef
I have created a third VLAN in the company for the Payroll department, it's the 192.168.169.0/24
The are 3 computers there with static IPs and I have allowed them to communicate the the main subnet 192.168.10.0/24 to use our 2 servers' resources (also with static ips binded to mac).
I am using the Vigor 2925.
However I noticed that the hostnames cannot be resolved across Vlans (there is of course pinging using ip addresses).
I guess the quick solution is to edit the hosts file of each PC to reflect the servers' hostnames.

I wonder whether there can be another solution in the Vigor settings. I also tried the LAN DNS feature and added the internal ip 192.168.10.200 of the Server8 but it does not work. I guess that works only for (internet) domain names.

Does anyone have an idea?
Thanks
