LAN DNS doesn't appear to be routing

Hi,

Setting up my DrayTek 2925 (FW:3.7.6) today, and has went without an issue, VPNs etc all done..

However LAN DNS is causing me a headache..

I have a computer called "S1" @ 192.168.25.100 (Fixed IP reserved via DHCP)

I've setup DHCP to allocate 192.168.25.1 as both DNS servers.

I've setup LAN DNS with:

S1 > 192.168.25.100
testserver.com > 192.168.25.100

If I ping testserver.com from my W7 laptop then it doesn't resolve to the above IP address? If I try S1 from my IOS device it doesn't connect to the server..

I've ran ipconfig /flushdns

Any ideas what I'm missing here?

Not sure if helps, try at Lan>General setup> tick the small box force router dns to lan 1 (ok) > then at details page add the dns manually
or see at Applications >> LAN DNS / DNS Forwarding, if is anything you can set there

Enabling it did appear to get things working, but then it wouldn't route external sites, so assume it wasn't speaking to the external DNS servers...

Then I disabled it again and external and internal routing worked!!

Obviously something needed a kick somewhere, but all appears to be working now! Thanks for the help!
