2860 Continually reboots was created by steve.martin@tesco.net
I just got a 2860, ready for my fibre installation next week, and I spent the evening setting it up with my config from my old 2820, Firewall, etc. When I came down this morning, no internet, logged onto the 2860 and it’s in a reboot cycle. Starts up, try’s to establish a connection and then reboots after about 50 seconds. If I don’t plug in the ADSL cable in its ok, but no connection obviously.

Did a factory reset and its fine, but as soon as I restore my backed up config, its back to rebooting every 50 seconds.

Anybody seen this before, or has a solution.

Firmware 3.7.4.5

Thanks

Steve

I've had this before. The only solution for me was factory reset and start from scratch :( No problems ever since.

Please note, it may be worth trying the new 3.7.8 firmware on the UK site in case that helps.

Use firmware 3.7.8 from UK download page & the STD file (rst extension for a clean instal)

Hi

I have kept the same firmware for the moment, just did a factory reset and re-entered all the config data, backing up as I go, and it appears stable for now.

The 3.7.8 software appears to be for ADSL or VDSL, as I am going from ADSL to VDSL next week does that mean I would have to update this week and then again next week for VDSL, sounds rubbish to me.
