2 X V3900 HA MODE CONFIG ISSUES was created by stowle2018
Hi All,

New to the forum, hoping I can get some answers to my issue.

I have purchased a pair of V3900's to work in HA mode (active/standby config).

So far I have managed to get HA set up (that was the easy bit), they are paired and can see each other and are working in active/standby mode. Both have separate IP's –

Draytek 1 – 192.168.1.1
Draytek 2 – 192.168.1.2

And then both drayteks run through one “virtual IP” gateway address which is 172.16.0.253. The problem is, when I set my machine on a static address on the 172.16.0. X range I cannot ping that virtual gateway address of 172.16.0.253…and I have no idea why?

Ping is enabled from WAN & LAN (thought it may have just been something simple like that)

Any help would be gratefully received.

Thank You
