DrayTek Vigor 3900 Slow WAN Speed Issue was created by tazdevillooney
Hi there, I've just had a 1000/1000 Gbp/s Leased line installed at the premises and are have a problem with the connection speed using my DrayTek Vigor 3900 FW 1.5.1. I have only been able to MAX this connection speed on your router to 200/200 Gbp/s connected to either WAN1 or ( WAN5 ( Optical )) and gets nowhere near the 1000/1000 Gbp/s supplied to the premises.
If i bypass the 9300 completely and connect my dedicated line to a PC i receive at lease 950/950 Mbp/s using the 1 Ethernet or Fiber cable.
Could you point me in the direction to why your 9300 is only providing 200/200 mbp/s on 1 wan port or SFP and not the full 1Gbp/s as the port suggests.
Hope you can shed some light on this as i need to get it up to speed to use all of my new 1Gbp/s Internet Fiber line.

Many Thanks, Taz

I have Drytek Vigor 3910 running Firmware 4.4.3.2/v28 (latest version)
From VirginMedia I moved to Community Fibre. 3 - 4 weeks of new install Community Fibre install and even with VirginMedia I have not had this issue.
ISSUE
Every morning Linespeed drops from 900 mbps to 80 mbps. The only solution is to full reboot the Vigor 3910.
Community Fibre have resolved the issue with comment "We had cleared the fibre errors". Therefore Backend issue.
The engineer who came onsite confirmed in 16 days I only had 3 errors on the ONT with -19db reading (-25db being the limit). Nothing was changed onsite as there was no fault found.
This was my Communtiy Fibre Ticket reference R-710628106 if anyone might need to as reference.

- Has anyone else experineced this?
- Is this a Vigor 3910 issue or Community Fibre issue?
- Any advice?
- I have used the same MAC address as the Community Fibre router and it works, just had to reboot the wall ONT.
- WAN > General Setup I have tried both options Line Speed : Auto Detect & According to Line Speed.
- After reboot I am on 900 mbps - once I left it at 80 mbps and sometime in the evening after 8 hours or more the line speed automatically went to 900 mbps.
- I think it is a Community Fibre issue but they will not support 3rd party router. Therefore reaching out to other UK users who might have a similar issue with Community Fibre and Vigor models?
