Okay , both sets of stats and pings would be good and check the casing for heat , I remember a few people had heat problems.

If you set up the Thinkbroadband monitor you can get a link to paste here.

I didn't have much luck with the Thinkbroadband monitor:

My IP address seems to be consistent, so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Your router is blocking pings.

In the ASUS GUI go to "Firewall" > General tab and set "Respond ICMP Echo (ping) Request from WAN " to allow.
