Unexpected code requested on login to Router

Hi guys,

I have a Vigor 2865. For some reason when I try and login from HTTP or HTTPS on the LAN or WAN side it fails as it asks for a code (see image 1).

I suspect that somehow the option System Maintenance\Administrator Password Setup\ "Enable Advanced Authentication method" (see image 2) has been accidentally enabled but not configured correctly.

So on logging in it attempts to request a form of 2FA/MFA which has not been configured and therefore rejects any login attempts. As such, I can't login in to the web interface.

I can access the Draytek Vigor 2865 via telnet though. Can I disable System Maintenance\Administrator Password Setup\ "Enable Advanced Authentication method" via telnet? If not, do you have any other suggestions as to how I can regain access to the web interface of the Vigor 2865.

Have you tried disabling the WAN login ? You can check the status using "mngt rmtcfg status" and then disable it using "mngt rmtcfg disable" ? And a re-boot for good measure. And the nucelar option is always a router reset with a manual re-config.
