Draytek 3910 Slow Upload Speed on 10G SFP+ Port was created by zgap111
I have a 3000/3000 fibre connection...
ONT : RJ45 >> 3910 (I have to use a SFP+ RJ45 module)
Internet Speedtest on the 3910 gives:
Connecting to WAN5 (1G) (P5/P9) gives 949/939
Connection to WAN3 (2.5G) (P3/P4) gives 2369/1921
but WAN1 (10G) (P1/P2) gives 3150/769 <<< 769????
I'm using the 10Gtek RJ45 module
So far support say it's the SFP+ module
- even though the Q&A for the 3910 shows :
"We have had reports from customers that the 10Gtek 10Gb/s SFP+ RJ45 Copper Transceiver (10GBase-T: 30m) module works well with the Vigor 3910."
under the "Will Draytek be selling 10Gb SFP+ to RJ-45 converters?" ... with the answer : "There are no current plans for a DrayTek SFP+ to 10GBase-T transceiver module. "
not sure how old that answer is, as I see Draytek has SFP+ RJ45 module: DAM-EX10-30m
but no one is selling them...
Any suggestions on an alternative SFP+ RJ45 for the 3910?
- the list in the knowledgebase is dated 2022-07-21 and I don't think any on that list is RJ45 module
or is there something seriously wrong with my 3910?
(on fw 4.3.2.5/v27)

Funny I saw a YouTube video on TPLink ER8411 with similar Download/Upload Speed results issue...
that one required a firmware update which gave a "flow control" option

Searching online... seems like not just Draytek has this problem
Feels like the 10G data being sent from my network to the 3G ISP is the problem,
hence
downloading (3G to 10G) = ok
uploading (10G to 3G) = bad
other vendors have "flow control" (sending "pause" packets when the receiving buffer is full) to fix this.
I'm surprised this is a "thing"... surely this problem would have appeared when network links were 10M > 100M > 1G...

I also have the same issue (DrayTek 3910 with Gtek 1/2.5/5/10Gbit SFP+ module) and firmware 4.3.2.6/v27 with a 10Gbit/2Gbit internet connection.
If I don't see DrayTek releasing a patch soon I'll switch to Mikrotik CCR2004-1G-12S+2XS or to TP-Link ER8411 (if I want easier life than configuring the Microtik).
Btw, I also have issues with Draytek "Service Status" page where I get the "Connection Failed! Please check your Internet connection and retry." error and can't also reach the Wizard >> Service Activation Wizard where I get the "Construct informations fail!" error page.
DrayTek, WAKE UP and release something with no bugs please!!
