Vigor 2962 Stops responding after 10-20m with firmware 4.4.3.2

Hey,

Is anyone else having issues with the recent firmware 4.4.3.2 on the Vigor 2962?

Whenever I install the new firmware, it initially works ok, but after about 10-20 minutes of use my various vlans start acting strangely and I loose admin access to the router.  A power reset and flash back to 4.3.3.1 works.  Support asked me to disable DoS protection but I'm not sure this is the problem.  I did that and got the same result.

Any suggestions or similar experiences?

Thanks.

I'm having the same problem, or close by, in my case it is a 2866LAC, that is connected on WAN2. In my case, if I turn on QoS, the router hangs, the browser gets kicked out, or it goes into a frantic reboot loop every 5-10 minutes. Disabling QoS poses no problem.

For them to advise you to turn off DoS shows how poor the service you are receiving is. To support this, from my experience in the past 2 weeks, I was asked to provide the router config file and they wanted unrestricted access to my router.

After 10 years of extremely good experience and 1 year of extremely poor support, it's time to say "No thanks and goodbye."

Interesting. I also have QoS turned on and haven't tried disabling it. I will try that, but I agree on the support front. It has become a bit of a joke given my latest experience.

Disabling QoS and Bandwidth management didn't help.

Support suggest factory reset and rebuild by hand (don't use a backup as it may be corrupt). Painful.

Different issue to yours but I've just gone through the same on my 2866Lac - and the issue has gone.

The config in my case has come from a 2860ac through a 2862Lac and then onto the 2866Lac so there'd been quite an opportunity for issues to get in there I suppose.

Hmm. Let me tell you the next move: They will insist on RMAing your router.

Obviously, their firmware is riddled with bugs, and you'll engage in a back-and-forth with them, "trying this and trying that," only to realize in the end that the time you spent assisting them far exceeded what should have been expected. (just sharing my experience)
