Vodafone sim and 2865LAC was created by Leigh Sarafian
Hi,

Has anyone actually gotton a data sim to work in a vigor 2865LAC?  Mine just connects as operational for a short while before falling into a "terminated" state?

The same sim works in old smart watch and android phones no issue.  No config needed.

Tried a giffgaff sim and that works fine?

Cheers

If the giffgaff SIM worked OK but the Vodafone doesn't I wonder if Vodafone needs a bit of traffic (or a bit more) to keep the connection alive.

Alternatively, as they are different physical networks, possibly signal strength is an issue with the Vodafone connection.

I can't remember off the top of my head, but are there any 'Ping to keepalive' options in the WAN settings which you could try?

Just to add I ran my entire house off a 2865LAC with a Vodafone sim for about 18 months and it worked fine.
