Vigor 2927 / 2865 & Vodafone Fibre 150mbps was created by rusty321
So this took quite a lot of effort and troubleshooting to get a draytek to work with vodafone fibre broadband connected directly by ethernet cable to WAN ethernet port on the draytek device.
Im sharing this as it will save someone hours of time.
I moved from a 68mbps copper line to 150mbps fibre (FTTC to FTTP)
Vodafone left me the old vf router which still worked however i needed drayteks routersince I utilise many of its features, however draytek device did not work out the box.
The lights came on but would show either a timeout error or a invalid credentials error/bad username/password
The fix was to speak to agent at vodafone and tell them be using our own router and not theirs they then provide a NEW username & password.
Why vodafone did not provide this at the start is so frustrating!
In draytek go to config page of the WAN and enable PPPoE tab and enter the credentials save it reboot and give it some time then it should work
Once you have this and connected it all up if it doesnt work after few minutes then you may need to restart the ONT wall box it has a power on/off button on the underside an 4 green led's so you can see its status.
Other settings in draytek page I used were:
MTU 1492
no VLAN tag
I enclose screenshots of the settings and status ( ip addresses removed from images)
Of course once its running you can then ditch the vodafone router.
As I said hopefully this will save someone heaps of time.
