PPTP connection with Goip32 GSM was created by thallon
Hi All

Wonder if you can help.

I am trying to connect my Goip GSM gateway to my draytek 2830 so its linked via the PPTP connection, i have followed what it says for setting up and on the GOIP end i have added the IP, user and pw. How ever it still doesn't want to connect. I have been told that the GOIP PPTP connection does not support 128 bit of MPPE and supports: no encryption or 40 bit MPPE.

How do i go about changing the settings to allow this?

Many Thanks for any advise in advance.

If you go to "VPN and Remote Access" >> "PPP General Setup", you can select "Require MPPE(40/128)" or "Optional MPPE" as the parameter for "Dial-In PPP Encryption (MPPE)".

However, here is a link to one of many web sites that explain why you shouldn't use PPTP at all.
