ExpressVPN OpenVPN (IPSec L2TP no longer supported) was created by objohnuk
Hi All
Has anyone managed to get a Vigor router (i have a 2865ac) to connect to ExpressVPN now that they support only OpenVPN?
DrayTek have no knowledgebase for ExpressVPN OpenVPN, just the IPSec connection.
i have tried importing the ovpn file, which fails. I have tried entering the settings manually but again cannot get anywhere.
DrayTek support unable to suggest anything, and ExpressVPN just say to talk to Drayek or buy a router supported for ExpressVPN.
Might have to consider moving off ExpressVPN if i cannot get this to work.
Any suggestions welcome.

I have been testing ProtonVPN the past few days. I found that, if the ovpn file has any spaces between the lines, the import fails. Edit it to remove the spaces, happy days.
...hope this helps.

Leave Express and join Nord who support certificate based IKEv2. Been using it for years.

I've been going back and forth with ExpressVPN on this issue, the OVPN file imports but truncates the server name so you have to type it in manual, I then get a successful connection established but no traffic flows at all.
Asking ExpressVPN for any type of debug or log information from there side just results in another random answer about something else, I asked three times very directly for log information and got nothing.
At this stage I have a successful connection but no traffic.
