VPN LAN to LAN 2862 to 2866 was created by lesd
First foray into setting up a VPN. Trying to set up LAN to LAN 2862 to 2866 following various guides on the web.
I have set them up and they do not connect. I have tried SSL and PPTP. For both if I use the Draytek Smart VPM client I can connect to the 2866 using both types.
I have tried 'prodding' it using Connection Management but it does nothing. There is no feedback about connecting/failing
Grateful for any help.
Server settings (2866):
Remote Access Control: Enabled PPTP and SSL
SSL General Setup: Port: 50666
LAN to LAN settings:
Dial-in
Idle Timeout 0
Selected SSL Tunnel (also tried PPTP)
Entered Username/password
Local Network: 192.168.1.1 (address of 2866 router) Mask: /24
Remote Network: 10.27.27.250 (address of 2862 router) Mask: /24
Client settings (2862):
Remote Access Control: Enabled PPTP and SSL
LAN to LAN settings:

Entered Username/password to match server
Server Port (for SSL Tunnel): 50666

Problem solved. I remembered about Web Syslog and the remote side was rejecting due to Brute Force blocking - cause by an error in the password - though I had supposedly checked it several times.
