Hi - assumming you're still there...I've just reconnected it again. Still shows as if it's partially connected.

See anything now in the main GUI ?

Just tried that again and on 5G...
on iPhone - "VPN Connection"
"The VPN server did not respond."

That's IPsec Xauth
targeting aitscot.uk domain with
username - Checked
Password - Checked
Secret - Copied and pasted

This is just bonkers. It has to be something simple.

Appreciate you taking the time. Cliff

Aye indeed. Just tried a SmartVPN session again from 5G iPhone targeting my domain name as suggested and after that, I logged in again.

Neither your attempt nor my iPhone created an entry in Syslog.

This is just crazy.

I think you'd be best trying to get a straightforward SSL or IPSec Tunnel working first - forget the XAuth thing - you're just complicating it unnecessarily at this point.

The SmartVPN client doesn't even give any options for XAuth (that I can see)

MacOS was my preferred client platform and that restricts the protocols available. I have a Windows machine using my iPhone Hotspot now. It has an Automatic option so trying that. Have disabled Xauth as you suggested and I have SSL enabled too. hey ho...

'What' has an Automatic option ?

For the sake of proving it works just set the SSL creds briefly to

vpntest
vpntest

And we can see if I can connect ?
